Alias, Lost, Now Fringe

JJ Abrams had dropped another one. The man of the production company, Bad Robot, brings you Fringe where a group including an FBI agent played by Anna Torv (Secret Life Of Us), a nutty scientist played by John Noble (Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers and The Return Of The King), and his genius son Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek and The Skulls) battle against bizarre phenomenon.

It jumps you in crazy loops as only JJ brings. It is interesting, fascinating and funny. I highly recommend checking it out.

The Only Dude

Movie Review of THE WOMEN

1.5 Stars

I don't usually rate this low, it does deserve it.

This remake of the 1939 classic was a major disappointment with a few sparks of HaHa.

Out of the all star cast the only good performance was done by Cloris Lechman. Bette Midler work was dull and unoriginal.

The for mail women of the film (Ryan, Benning, Messing and Pinkett Smith), they were very disappointing. Geez Debra, need some sun?

Anyways, this show nearly knocked me out, but I can get.a shirt that says "I Survived The Women Movie"

I do not recommend this film.

SamCrow And Connor

So the fall premieres started and the first two I saw were FX's Sons Of Anarchy and FOX's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The second season of Terminator was great with the machine sent by John from the future going bad and hunting Connor herself. This shows a new side of John that gets him closer to his future persona. Great season premiere.

As for FX's new original series, the Sons Of Anarchy stars two of my favorites. Katie Segal (Married w/ Children and 8 Simple Rules) plays the widow and mother of members of SamCrow. SamCrow is a gang of motorcyclists who rival against other gangs like the Mayans and the Arian Brotherhood. This group is led by a character played by Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and he shows a lot of promise for the show. Overall I feel that this show will be a great show to stay with. Maybe the great replacement for The Shield. Check it out.

Becoming a Joke

Well this show was already a joke even though it became the world's biggest talent show.

Americas Got Talent is a bizarre show that is surpose to present the next big act of the year. The first two years were okay producing young singer Bianca Ryan and Ventrilloquist, Terry Fator. This third season made the show way worse and Jen and I decided to not watch this show next year.

Sometimes a show goes to far. America's Got Talent is definately one of them. I can see why Regis Philbin and Brandy left after the first season.

American Idol is another except for the auditions.

Power Ranger & The Photographer

Another new show that started this July called Flashpoint, Fridays on CBS.

Starring Enrico Colantoni (Just Shoot Me & Veronica Mars), Amy Jo Johnson (Mighty Morphing Power Rangers & Felicity ) and Hugh Dillon (Assault On Precinct 13).

Here is a discription:
When the Strategic Response Unit arrives, the rules change. The bad guy's caught - he just doesn't know it yet. The SRU, inspired by Toronto's Emergency Task Force, is a handpicked team of elite cops. High risk is their business and these men and women do it all: rescue hostages, bust gangs, defuse bombs. Talk down suicidal teens. Protect the Pope. They handle state-of-the-art weapons - sniper rifles, flash-bang grenades, tasers. They climb the sides of buildings. See through walls. But they're different from other SWAT teams. Because their arsenal also includes a gift for words.

It is worth a peak.

It's Back

Alright my new favorite show is back, BURN NOTICE returns.

If you have not seen this show you must check it out.

Starring Jeffery Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell & Sharon Gless. A show about a CIA agent who gets a Burn Notice, which means he has been disavowed and black noticed.

Season One was his quest to find who burned him. Now in Season Two he has talked to the person who burned him (on the phone) and in order to met them he must do some jobs for them.

Check it out. Thursdays at 9pm on USA.

Return Home

WALL.E

Grade: A-

This was a very well done movie after seeing Ratatouille last year. I found this film as entertaining as the previous PIXAR films including The Incredibles, Cars and Finding Nemo.

I also likes the messeges in the film. I somewhat wonder if the folks saw and understood the messages. No matter.

The film was great and the short was actually better. The best since the Chubb-Chubbs.

This film is definitely a must see.

WIPEOUT

Well it's summertime, season finales happened for the remaining shows that survived the writers strike.

Now it is time for the summer shows. A couple big shows return including So You Think You Can Dance & Americas Got Talent.

They also introduced some new show and one that stood out for me is Wipeout. This show was brought in by ABC and it is hilarious. You have to at least check out at least one episode. It airs on Wednesday Night.

This will be an interesting summer.

Special Agent

Get Smart

Grade A

Starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson & Alan Arkin.

A great movie release of a very funny TV show. For those of you who do not know the show, Maxwell Smart, who started at Control as an analyst, achieves his dream by becoming a special agent. He is a bumbling idiot, but somehow he always get his man.

Carell was a great choice for this role as he gives an incredible performance (as usual).

Highly recommend seeing this film.

Hulk Smash

4 Stars

So we went out to see The Incredible Hulk this past Tuesday and I must say it was great. It was great to see Ed Norton in an intense film again. The last great film I enjoyed him in was American History X.

Tim Roth was another big surprise, too. He did a great as a skillful soldier with a great lust for power.

Liv Tyler was okay, but a bit annoying as Elizabeth Ross, love interest of Banner. She seem like she was reliving Aewen (I could never spell that right).

Overall the film was well done. Still don't know if it was a sequel or not, but definitely better then the first.
